Cleopatra II Slot

The original Cleopatra game was so well received that IGT/WagerWorks decided to remake it, coming up with another winning casino slot. Expect even more seductive sound-bites, more opulent artwork and even more prizes from the free spin game with the Cleopatra II Slot.

It seems these days whenever something is massively successful they make a sequel. We’ve seen Aliens II, The Empire Strikes back and countless follow ups to those dry and dusty Harry Potter books, but there strangely seems to be no Ancient Egypt part II on the horizon. Well, you’d think the longest lasting civilisation of all time would have at least spawned some kind of successful spin off society at some point in time, but apparently it hasn’t, so I shall not lose any tears over the death of my past glories. Instead I have decided to embrace the future in the form of the brilliant follow up slot to the original Cleopatra game, the aptly named Cleopatra II slot.

Cleopatra II is very similar to the original game, with a few tweaks in just the right places to make it different enough to the first slot whilst still embracing the overall mechanic of the game. The artwork is still lush and golden and the sonics are still some of the best you’ll find on any online casino game, not just on a slot. If anything I’d say there is a slight improvement to the reel art and audio if I had to say there’s been a change at all. A few of the symbols have been changed to keep the game fresh, utilising Egyptian god forms such as Horus and Anubis. There’s been no change to the stakes or wager limits, so essentially all the bells and whistles you’d expect to be here are present. The Cleopatra symbol still acts as the rather nifty wild multiplier, doubling up on your wins and a re-designed sphinx symbol (what was wrong with the one that looked like Ming the Merciless?) still pays you a few coins before taking you down some dark desert tunnel to the free spin round.

So, what about the bonus game? I hear you ask. Well, as I said it’s still a free spin game, but this time we’re talking a free spin game with big difference. Now, before I explain the mechanics of this sub game you should be aware that when you activate this bonus using the three scattered sphinx symbols, you’ll now go to a second screen where you get to pick one of three mysterious looking caskets to find out how many free spins you’ll be taking through to those specially enhanced reels, dripping with wilds and scatters like honey from a beehive. The difference here is that while on the original Cleopatra slot all your wins are subject to a three times multiplier, Cleopatra II actually gives you an incremental multiplier. I probably sound like I’m talking in hieroglyphics now so I’ll explain what I mean with an example. Supposing you have ten free spins on this game from the choose a casket round; when you take your first spin any win you receive on this spin will be subject to a 1x multiplier, then on your second spin, a x2 multiplier, and so on up to a maximum of 10x (as you had ten free spins). As with most free spin games you can hit the three or more activating scatters to award you an additional set number of spins (10) although the maximum total number of spins is set to fifty, giving you a maximum potential multiplier on any prize hit on your fiftieth spin of 50x. Even if you don’t win on the last spin, the chances are you’ll hit two prizes on the last five spins where the multiplier is set so high the cash with literally rain down on you should you manage to crank this game up to the maximum bonus level.

Strategy

Although game-play and graphic wise, the Cleopatra II slot game looks very similar to the original Cleopatra slot, beware, there are some important points to note that can help you streamline and sculpt your strategy to ensure you’re getting the most out of this slot game.

The biggest difference between the first two Cleopatra slots has to be the free spin round. In the original game this round simply tripled any awards gained during its duration, whilst on Cleopatra II you’ve got that rather fancy incremental multiplier. What does this mean? Well, in my opinion I think that the developers have tweaked down the number of standard reel wins on Cleopatra II in order to put ‘more money’ on the bonus game. This means that if you’re going to play this slot, then you’ll want to get into that all important free spin round. I’d suggest therefore that you use some kind of slow play strategy where you bet conservatively on the reel game to ensure that you make it through to this all important bonus. Some people like to use the free play function (that’s available at all our featured casinos) to get a feel for when the bonus game is going to hit and whilst we’d tell you that certain mathematicians I know would argue that such a thing is simply impossible, I’ve seen quite a few people who seem to have mastered this knack. They’d argue that once you get a feel for when this slots bonus is going to hit you can hike up your stake so that when you do get onto the second set of reels for your free spins, you’ll be playing for more money as the wager placed on each of the free spins is the same as your bet at the time the bonus is activated.
